THERAPEUTICS

This remedy is indicated in SUPPURATION when the pus has found a vent, the infiltration has subsided but the discharge continues.

It is of service in ECZEMA and GLANDULAR SWELLINGS. THE ERUPTION HAS YELLOWISH SCALES AND THERE ARE MANY PIMPLES AND POINTS OF SUPPURATION. THE GLANDS ARE ENLARGED AND HARD. It SHOULD BE THOUGHT OF IN CASES THAT ARE DISCHARGING PUS.

-Tendency to suppuration; unhealthy skin; does not heal rapidly.

-Recurrent abscesses. When abscess has broken, or has been lanced, and is discharging. The presence of pus with a vent is a characteristic indication.

-Tendency to formation of abscesses, that have ruptured, are slow to heal, with a continuous discharge of yellow pus [Pyrog].

-Mucous discharges are yellow, thick, lumpy, mixed with blood, serosanguinous.

-Tongue-dry, cracked, flabby. Looks like hard, dried clay.

-Poor reaction; well selected remedies act for a short time.

-Craving for green, unripe or sour fruits, sweets [Morrison].

-Confusion from mental exertion.

-Vertigo-Open air < walking fast.

-Inflammation of eyes with discharge of thick yellow matter.

1. Aversion to covers when cold.

2. Takes cold easily, yet desires open air.

4. Diarrhoea from maple sugar, change of weather.

5. Burning, itching of soles of feet.
